Inside Sales and Business Development Representative

We are looking for dedicated, hard-working, and successful member to add to our team, as we continue to grow in the Ottawa and Eastern Region. This is a permanent, full time position to start immediately. Pay will be base salary plus incentives.

This position involves taking incoming calls, pipeline development and account penetration, also booking appointments with existing customers for Senior account executives. You will also work on greenfield areas to establish relationships with new customers to uncover high-value opportunities.

We are looking for a suitable candidate bilingual in English and French.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Engaging with new prospective customers and representing ISA across your region, identifying all potential business opportunities
  • Working closely with Principal Cyber Security Consultant (GHE) in the day to day interaction with high volume and/or complex end user accounts, as well as the development and on boarding of new clients
  • Identifying key decision makers whilst developing and qualifying new business opportunities within the targeted markets through cold calling, event recruitment and high-level prospecting.
  • Articulating the value proposition and helping the customer understand how it will improve their business’s information security.
  • Earning trust and developing relationships with senior executives by displaying knowledge, professionalism and relevance to business issues.
  • Meeting set targets and working closely with Marketing and Sales by methodically working on and following up on a variety of sales campaigns.
  • Maintaining quality relationships with your manager and external customer-facing Account Executives to support new business growth.
  • Consistently achieving quarterly and annual goals and target.
  • Booking direct one-to-one meetings at customers' sites and at trade shows.
  • Conduct outbound business development in alignment with Sales and Marketing goals.
  • Deliver qualified leads to the sales team for follow-up and future pipeline development
  • Identify and submit opportunity registrations along with noting potential rebates provided by Vendors and submitting claims as well 
  • Source product from manufacturers and distributors
  • Develop relationship with Manufacturers and Relevant Distributions Contacts
  • Preparation of quotations and proposals as required

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal, written communication in English and French, and presentation skills
  • Build rapport with customers through friendly, engaging communication
  • Strong telephone and prospecting (outbound calling) skills
  • Base understanding of IT Enterprise products and services
  • Experience with Cybersecurity a strong plus
  • Willing to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience with lead and account tracking in CRM systems
  • Adoptable to new challenges with a desire to grow with the organization
  • Knowledge of LinkedIn and/or CRM is desirable
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Keen interest in technology and security
  • Experience working in a VAR or distribution channel experience would be beneficial
  • Effective time management skills and ability to work well under pressure
  • Excellent organization, multitasking and prioritization skills
  • Strong attention to detail
